Willem Zuidwijk

Dutch politician

Willem Zuidwijk (16 December 1933 – 5 October 2021) was a Dutch administrator and politician of the Catholic People's Party (KVP) and later the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA).[1]

After secondary education he worked for the municipality of The Hague and returned there after completing his military service. Around 1962 he joined the province of South Holland and later he transferred to the province of Utrecht where he became head of the cabinet of the Queen's Commissioner. In May 1971 he was appointed mayor of Raalte, until his retirement in 1998. [2]

Zuidwijk was born in The Hague and died in Raalte at the age of 87.
