Xenia (Greek)

Greek word for hospitality

Xenia is the Ancient Greek concept of hospitality. Xenia means "guest-friendship". It is a bond between the guest and the host. It is marked by gifts from the guest and shelter from the host.[1] It plays an important part in Homer's epic poem the Odyssey.[2]
