Yūzō Tashiro

Yuzo Tashiro (田代 有三, Tashiro Yuzo, born July 22, 1982) is a former Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.

Biography

Tashiro was born in Fukuoka on July 22, 1982. When he played for Fukuoka University, he also played for Oita Trinita in 2003 and Sagan Tosu in 2004. After graduating from the university, he joined J1 League club Kashima Antlers in 2005. He played many matches as forward from 2006. The club won the J1 champions for 3 years in a row (2007-2009). In 2010, he moved to Montedio Yamagata on loan. He scored 10 goals for Yamagata. In 2011, he returned to Kashima. In 2012, he moved to Vissel Kobe. Although Kobe was relegated to J2 League end of the 2012 season, Kobe returned to J1 in a year. In 2015, he moved to J2 club Cerezo Osaka. In 2017, he moved to Australian club Wollongong Wolves. He retired end of the 2018 season.

In February 2008, Tashiro was selected the Japan national team for 2008 East Asian Football Championship. At this tournament, he played full time in all 3 matches.
