UK public sector provider of ambulance services in Yorkshire, England (2006- )

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is the NHS ambulance service covering most of Yorkshire in England. Its base is in Wakefield.

It was formed on 1 July 2006.

There are about 4,500 paid workers and more than 1,000 volunteers.

It runs patient transport services as well as emergency ambulances. It has more than 500 emergency vehicles. It uses modified Skoda Kodiaq SUVs as Rapid Response Vehicles.[1]
