Yves Coppens

French paleoanthropologist (1934–2022)

Yves Coppens (9 August 1934 – 22 June 2022) was a French anthropologist. He studied ancient hominids. In 2014, he became a member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.[1] He also helped make documentaries about hominids such as A Species Odyssey. He played an important role in discovering "Lucy".
