Career
changeBefore playing in the major leagues, Yuen played parts of 5 seasons with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL).[1]
He was drafted 119th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. However, the Jets let him go after they missed the deadline to sign him.[2]
He would join the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp and would be assigned to their AHL-affiliate Toronto Marlies.[3] Yuen would play three games with the Marlies. He would be sent down to the ECHL to play for the Orlando Solar Bears.
On July 26, 2021, Yip signed with Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).[4] Yuen also became the first Chinese player to score a goal for Kunlun.[5]
