Budget minister and then labor minister in the first two François Fillon governments from 2007 to 2010, he was mayor of Chantilly from 1995 to 2017.[1]
From 2017 to 2022 he was deputy and president of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly. In 2022 he announced that he would leave The Republicans to support Emmanuel Macron and was re-elected under the Ensemble banner. He has been a commissioner of the National Assembly since June 29, 2022.[2]
Éric Woerth graduated from Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University, HEC Paris and Sciences Po.[3]
