Ștefan Tașnadi
Romanian weightlifter (1953–2018)
Ștefan Tașnadi (Hungarian: István Tasnádi, 21 March 1953 – 28 February 2018) was a Romanian heavyweight weightlifter.[1] He won a silver medal at the 1984 Olympics.[2][3] He was born in Cluj, Romania. Tașnadi took up lifting in 1970 at a sports school and from 1976 to 1984 was a member of the national team.[3] He retired in 1984 to become a weightlifting coach.[1][2]
Tașnadi died on 28 February 2018 in Cluj Napoca at the age of 65.[4]
