(Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) is the first album by Lynyrd Skynyrd, an American southern rock band. It was released on August 13, 1973. It has many of the band's most popular songs, such as "Gimme Three Steps" and "Free Bird".

The album went to number 27 on the Billboard 200, a music chart.[1] It was certified platinum by the RIAA. The album made Lynyrd Skynyrd much more popular.[2] In 2012, Rolling Stone said it was one of the greatest albums ever made.[3][4]
