1926 Women's World Games – 250 metres

The 250 metres event at the 1926 Women's World Games was the first and only time a 250 metres was held at Women's World Games. The event took place in Gothenburg at the Slottsskogsvallen during the first day of the Games on 27 August 1926.[1] At the 1922 Women's World Games a 300 metres event was held. At the 1930 Women's World Games the 250 metres was replaced by the 200 metres event.

British Eileen Edwards won the final in a new world record of 23.4 seconds. Her running style is described as fantastic. Behind her the British Vera Palmer finished second and French Marguerite Radideau third in a new French national record.[2]
