2006 basketball championship series

The 2006 NBA Finals was a championship series in the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s 2006–07 season. Both teams played in a "best-of-seven" series. The Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat defeated the Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks four games to two after being down 2-0 to win their first championship. Dwyane Wade was named the Finals MVP. Both teams met in the Finals again in 2011 with the Mavericks winning the rematch in six games.
