2020 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup
The 2020 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup was supposed to be the 10th time they held this football championship for young women's teams. It happens every two years, and it includes teams of players under the age of 20 from different countries who are part of FIFA. Originally, they planned to have the tournament in August/September 2020, hosted by Costa Rica and Panama. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they had to change their plans. FIFA announced on 3rd April 2020 that they would postpone and reschedule the tournament.[1] Later, on 12th May 2020, FIFA decided to hold the tournament between 20th January and 6th February 2021, depending on the situation with the pandemic. Panama decided not to co-host the event due to COVID-19 concerns, so Costa Rica became the sole host.[2]
