2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony
The 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony takes place on 20 novembre at Al-Bayt Stadium in Al-Khor, Qatar.
It will be broadcast at 18:00 UTC+03 (local time), prior to the match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador on first day of Group A.
Italian artistic director Marco Balich, who has already worked on a number of Olympic Games ceremonies, is in charge of organising the show[1].
A series of concerts is also planned, featuring Jeon Jungkook, the South Korean singer of BTS, and the American rapper Lil Boy, two names that have been confirmed[2]. A number of other artists have been lined up to take part in the competition, including Maître Gims, Robbie Williams, the Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Maroon 5, J. Balvin, Major Lazer and Enrique Iglesias[2].
