2G
term used to represent the 2nd generation of mobile telecommunications technology
2G is the short form for the second-generation mobile phone technology. It was the first version to be a digital standard and, it replaced the analog 1G standard. It was replaced by 3G. Some countries have already shut down their 2G networks.
