He is best known for his popular single "Achy Breaky Heart" (1992).

From 2001 to 2004, Cyrus starred in the television series Doc. The series was about a country doctor who moved from Montana to New York City. He was in the Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana, which he co-starred with his daughter Miley Cyrus.[6]
