ActiveX is a system for managing computer files. it controls the DLL (Dynamic-link library) that can be used as a shared data over the applications. ActiveX is a type of library in the file DLL.
In any operating system, such as Linux, Mac or the Microsoft Windows, data files have the same kind of file format as that of the Dynamic-link library. They can be called a resource DLL. Examples of such DLLs include icon libraries, sometimes having the extension ICL, and the font files, having the extensions FON and FOT. For example, ActiveX is well-known for use in web browsers.
