Adam Purple
American activist
Adam Purple (David Lloyd Wilkie; November 10, 1930 – September 15, 2015) was an American environmentalist. He was known for being an activist for defending gardens in New York City. He helped save a well known garden in New York's Lower East Side.[1][2][3][4]

Purple died of a heart attack while riding his bike across the Williamsburg Bridge in New York City, aged 84.
