2021 Auckland Countdown stabbing

On 3 September 2021 at 14:40 NZST, six people were stabbed at the LynnMall Countdown supermarket in New Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand.[1] The attacker was being followed by police. They shot him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.[2]

The incident is being treated as terrorism[1] and is "ISIS-inspired".[3]
