Ahrar al-Jaazera was a rebel group that fought in the Syrian Civil War and was important at the start of the war which resulted in the taking over of Yaroubiya in March of 2013 (with help from other rebel groups).[1] The group also worked with anti-Kurdish groups in the Battle of Ras al-Ayn which spanned from 2012-2013.[2] However the group was forcibly removed from power in Yaroubiya in October of 2013, after the Al-Nusra Front took power and claimed to be corrupt by Daesh and Al-Nusra.[3]
