Akechi Mitsuhide
16th-century samurai; assassin of Oda Nobunaga

Akechi Mitsuhide (明智 光秀, March 10, 1528 – July 17, 1582) was a Japanese samurai. He was a general in the forces of Oda Nobunaga.[1] He was from Mino Province.
Timeline
change- 1580 (Tenshō 8): Akechi was put in charge of establishing a survey of Yamato Province in the area of modern Nara Prefecture[1]
- 1581 (Tenshō 9): Akechi was charged with making a survey of Tango Province north of Kyoto[1]
- 1582 (Tenshō 10): Nobunaga was assassinated by Akechi Mitsuhide.[2] Akechi defeated by Hashiba Hideyoshi soon later, hurted by civilian and made a seppuku.
