Alexander Ross (writer)
Scottish writer and controversialist
Alexander Ross (c. 1590–1654) was a Scottish writer. He wrote many books. One of his most important works was complete translation of the Qur'an into English.[1]

He was vicar of St. Mary's Church, Carisbrooke in the Isle of Wight from 1634 to his death.
