Alexis Tsipras

Prime Minister of Greece (2015; 2015–2019)

Alexis Tsipras (Greek: Αλέξης Τσίπρας, pronounced [aˈleksis ˈt͡sipras]; born 28 July 1974) is a Greek politician. He served as the Leader of the Opposition from 2019 to 2023. He has been a member of Syriza since 2013. He was Prime Minister of Greece from 2015 to 2019.[1]

Tsipras is a member of the Syriza party, and is a democratic socialist. A major issue of his term has been dealing with the Greek debt crisis.
