Dr. Amit Chakraborty (born December 5th, 1984) is an Indian consultant oncologist surgeon, healthcare leader, and entrepreneur with over 15 years of industry experience. Dr. Chakraborty currently serves as the Director and Senior Consultant of Surgical Oncology at SSO Hospital, Mumbai, India with focus on Advaced Head & Neck cancer surgeries.[1]

Early Life and Education
changeDr. Chakraborty was born on December 5th, 1984, in Mumbai, India. He completed his MBBS in 2007 from the N.K.P Salve Institute of Medical Science, followed by an MS in General Surgery in 2013 from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai. In 2017, he earned an MCh in Oncosurgery from the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute. He also completed an Executive MBA from London Business School in 2024.

changeSince April 2022, Dr. Chakraborty has served as the Director and Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology at SSO Hospital in Mumbai. His responsibilities include performing complex oncological surgeries, conducting cancer screenings, and overseeing the strategic and operational management of the Surgical Oncology department. His focus is on Head & Neck cancer surgeries.[2][3]
Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai
changeFrom March 2018 to March 2022, Dr. Chakraborty worked as a Consultant Oncology Surgeon at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, where he performed daily oncology surgeries and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.[4]
