Anna Tramontano
Italian computational biologist
Anna Tramontano (14 July 1957, Naples – March 2017) was an Italian computational biologist and Chair Professor of Biochemistry at the Sapienza University of Rome.[1] From 2011 to 2014 she was a member of the Scientific Council of the European Research Council (ERC).

She was an Associate Editor for the journal Bioinformatics from 2005 until 2016 editing papers in the area of structural bioinformatics.
She was elected a member of the Academia Europaea in 2009.[2]
Tramontano died in March 2017 in Rome, Italy at the age of 59.[3] Her death was announced on 10 March 2017.[3]
