Anthony James (actor)

American actor (1942–2020)

Anthony James (born James Anthony; July 22, 1942 – May 26, 2020)[1] was an American actor. He was known for playing villains in Western movies or television series.[2] He was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

His movie roles include: P.J. (1968) and ...tick...tick...tick... (1970). He played one of the lynch mobsters in High Plains Drifter and appeared the horror movie Burnt Offerings (1976).[3] He had roles in Blue Thunder (1983), Nightmares (1983), and The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991).

James died on May 26, 2020 of cancer, aged 77.[4]
