Antoinette Gallemaers
Antoinette Gallemaers (21 February 1898 - 3 October 1961) was a Belgian sprinter and football player, being active during the 1920s. She was a member of Brussels Femina Club and Atalante.[1]

She was ten times national champion. She was Belgian record holder in the 250 metres and 300 metres. She represented Belgium at international competitions.

changeGallemaers was active in the earliest era of women’s athletics in Belgium being a member of the Brussels Fémina Club. In 1921 she competed in cross-country, but started focusing on track and field athletics. She competed in several middle-distance races. In 1922 she became national champion in the 300 metres event in a new Belgian record time. At the national championships in 1923 she finished second in the 250 metres but became national champion in 1924 in a new national record time of 36.6 seconds.[1] In 1926 and 1927 she became national champion in both the 80 metres and 250 metres; in 1927 with a national record in the 250 metres. She became national champion in the 200 metres in 1928 and 1931.
Gallemaers represented Belgium at many international competitions from the earliest international women’s competitions in 1921. She was twice a member of the national team at the Women’s Olympiad including in 1924[2] and annualy at the match between Belgium and France, including in 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924 and 1925[3] and the 1928 Belgium–Netherlands women's athletics competition.[4] She was entered for the 1928 Summer Olympics but did not start.[5]
