Archdiocese of Warsaw
The Archdiocese of Warsaw (Latin: Archidioecesis Varsaviensis) is a Roman Catholic Archdiocese in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 1798.

History
changeThe Archdiocese of Warsaw was established on October 16, 1798. It has been an important center for the Polish Catholic Church.[1][2]
Geography
changeThe archdiocese covers an area of 3,350 square kilometers. It includes 212 parishes and serves a population of 1,550,000 people, of whom about 1,490,000 are Catholics.[3]
Administration
changeThe current archbishop is Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, serving since 2007. The auxiliary bishops are Piotr Jarecki, Michał Janocha, and Rafał Markowski.[4]
Major Church
changeThe main church is St. John's Archcathedral in Warsaw. It is one of the most important places of Polish culture and national tradition. The Constitution of May 3 was sworn in this church. Nowadays, important state ceremonies take place there.[1]
