Ariel Henry
Ariel Henry (born 6 November 1949) is a Haitian politician and neurosurgeon. He was the 23rd prime minister of Haiti of Haiti from 2021 until 2024. Henry was also the acting president of Haiti. He was the minister of Interior and Territorial Communities from January to September 2015 and served again since November 2022.

Prime Minister change
On July 5, 2021, he was selected as the next Prime Minister by President Jovenel Moïse. Two days later, the president was assassinated.[3][4] At the time, then-Prime Minister Claude Joseph took control of the government. On 19 July 2021, Joseph announced that he would resign as prime minister to support Henry.[5] Henry was sworn-in as the prime minister on 20 July.[6][7]
Role in Moïse's assassination change
In September 2021, an investigation into Moïse's assassination named Henry as a suspect.[8] He was banned from leaving the country while the investigation is going on.[9] As a result, he fired investigators in the Moïse assassination inquiry.[10] Some prosecutors are seeking murder charges on Henry.[11]
Resignation change
Henry was forced to resign on 12 March 2024 following increasing violence and a breakdown in law and order in the country.[12]
