Arthur Davidson
American motorcycle businessman (1881–1950)
Arthur Davidson (February 11, 1881–December 30, 1950[1]) is one of the four co-founders of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. He and his wife died in a car accident in 1950.[2] Arthur, his two brothers Walter and William started the company in 1903 with William Harley. Arthur was mainly in charge of sales for the company.
When he was not working for the company, Davidson like to raise Guernsey cattle at his farm west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.[2] He was well known for giving money and other things such as land to organizations such as the Boy Scouts.[2]
