Background

change

Battleground featured professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that played out on WWE's television programs, Raw and SmackDown. The wrestlers portrayed good guys, bad guys or tweeners (morally ambiguous characters) as they followed a series of events which lead to a wrestling match or a series of wrestling matches.[2][3]
