Bibb Falk

American baseball player (1899–1989)

Bibb Falk was a major league baseball player for the Chicago White Sox. He was born in Austin, Texas. He died in Austin, Texas.

Bibb Falk was born on January 27, 1899 in Austin, Texas. He went to college at the University of Texas, where he played baseball and football. In 1920, he joined the Chicago White Sox, a major league baseball team from Chicago, Illinois. He began his career as a "spare outfielder", which is an extra player for the team. However, he later replaced "Shoeless Joe" Jackson, who played left-field for the team. He spent twelve seasons in major league baseball.

After he retired from major league baseball, Falk coached baseball for several teams, including the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox. He then coached the baseball team at the University of Texas for several years.

Bibb Falk died in Austin, Texas on June 8, 1989 at age 90.
