Blaine Higgs
Canadian politician
Blaine Higgs (born March 1, 1954) is a Canadian politician. He is the 34th and current Premier of New Brunswick since 2018 and leader of the New Brunswick Progressive Conservative Party since 2016.[1]

Higgs was first elected to the legislature in the 2010 provincial election and was Minister of Finance from 2010 to 2014 in the government of David Alward.[1]
Life and career
changeBlaine Higgs was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick.[2] He completed graduation from the University of New Brunswick as an engineer.[3] He worked for 33 years for a company named Irving Oil where he rose to the rank of a senior executive. His works include overseeing oil transportation across eastern Canada and New England.[3][4] He retired from Irving Oil in 2010.[2]
