Body positivity
movement that encourages people to adopt more forgiving and affirming attitudes towards their bodies
Body positivity is a social movement that believes that people should have a positive body image. The movement says that people should accept their body, no matter what it looks like. Society has always had certain expectations, what a body is supposed to look like. Fashion designers in particular have expectations of what a human body is supposed to look like. Most people look different, and according to body positivity they should not feel bad because they do.

The sculpture The women of bronze outside of the art museum, Växjö. The sculpture is a work by Marianne Lindberg De Geer. It shows two women, one anorexic, and the other obese. Since it was placed there in 2006, the sculpture has been controversial. Both statues have been vandalized and repaired during 2006. They are starting to become a tourist attraction, in part due to the conflict.
