Education
changeJanicek graduated from Sciences Po Paris in 1999. Before that, he studied international law at the University of Paris Panthéon-Assas and Sapienza University of Rome.[3][4]
Career
changeHe started working at L'Oréal in 1999, where he held various marketing and business development positions in different parts of the world, including Israel, the United States, France, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. In 2008, he became a general manager in the Netherlands, and in 2011, he was appointed Deputy General Manager of the Professional Products Division for Europe.[5][6]
In 2013, Janicek left L'Oréal and founded State of Brand, a company that advises on brand management. He worked on projects for the Estée Lauder Companies, focusing on the Clinique brand in India and the Middle East. Later, he joined Clinique, overseeing operations in the Benelux region and later becoming the head of the French subsidiary.[7][8]
In 2017, Janicek became CEO of Maison Ladurée at the Holder Group and received a nomination for the First 100 Days Award, recognizing outstanding leadership performance.[9][10][11]
In 2019, he joined LVMH's Moët Hennessy division to manage Wine Estates, which included vineyards in various countries.[12]
Since 2021, Janicek has been based in Israel, where he returned to the Estée Lauder Companies to lead the Estée Lauder brand in the local market. He was later appointed global Chief Brand Officer of the Sabon brand within the Groupe Rocher.[13]
Commitments
changeJanicek has been involved with Club 21e Siècle, a non-profit organization promoting diversity and equal opportunities in French society. He also teaches at Sciences Po Paris and EDHEC Business School.[14][15][16]
