Fleetwood

Fleetwood is a town within the Wyre district of Lancashire, England. It lies at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 26,840 people at the 2001 Census.[1] It is part of the Blackpool Urban Area. The town was the first planned place of the Victorian age. In the twentieth century, Fleetwood was a major deep-sea fishing port, but, since the 1970s, the fishing industry has declined. The town has slowly become poor. Fleetwood is also a seaside resort.
