The Cadillac Optiq is a battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV produced by General Motors and marketed under the Cadillac brand. It is made in a joint venture with SAIC-GM and has been available in China since late 2023. The vehicle will be released in North America in 2024.

Powertrain

The Optiq offers several electric motor options. In China, it is available with two front-wheel-drive (FWD) powertrains producing 204 hp (150 kW) and 242 hp (180 kW). The all-wheel-drive (AWD) version has two motors, producing 283 hp (211 kW) in China and 301 hp (224 kW) in North America. The vehicle is powered by an Ultium battery, available in sizes from 68.4 kWh to 85 kWh, providing a maximum range of up to 373 miles (600 km).

The Optiq is designed as a more affordable entry-level electric vehicle for Cadillac. It has a dual motor AWD system, with a 300 hp (224 kW) total output in North America. The vehicle is equipped with fast charging capabilities, allowing up to 79 miles of range to be added in just 10 minutes using a DC fast charger. It also features a 1,500 lb (680 kg) towing capacity and comes with 20-inch wheels, with an option for 21-inch wheels.
