Cape Helles

rocky headland in Turkey

Cape Helles is a rocky area at the south-westernmost end of the Gallipoli peninsula, Turkey.[1][2] It was the scene of fighting between Turkish and British troops during the Gallipoli Campaign, 1915. It is now the site a memorial for this campaign.
