Mexicano clown, television host, actor and singer (1946-2022

Ricardo González Gutiérrez known as Cepillín (Spanish pronunciation: [sepiˈjin]) (February 7, 1946 – March 8, 2021)[1] was a Mexican clown, singer, television personality and actor. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico. His career lasted from 1977 until his death. He starred in the Televisa program El Show de Cepillín. Cepillín had another show in 1987 called Una sonrisa con Cepillín on Channel 5 of Televisa.

In April 2018, Cepillín endorsed Andrés Manuel López Obrador for president in the 2018 election.[2]

Cepillín died at a Naucalpan hospital on March 8, 2021 from spinal cancer, aged 75.[3]
