Charles H. Pitman

American lieutenant general

Charles H. Pitman (October 20, 1935 – February 13, 2020) was an American politician. He was lieutenant general in the United States Marine Corps. Pitman was Deputy Chief of Staff for Aviation.[1][2] He retired in 1990. He served during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. Pitman was born in Chicago, Illinois.

Pitman died on February 13, 2020 from cancer, aged 84.[3]
