Charles Njonjo
former Attorney General of Kenya (1920–2022)
Charles Mugane Njonjo (23 January 1920 – 2 January 2022) was a Kenyan lawyer and politician. He was the Attorney General of Kenya from 1963 to 1979. He later was the Minister of Constitutional Affairs from 1978 until 1982. Njonjo was also a member of the National Assembly from 1980 to 1983. He was born in Kiambu County, Kenya.

Njonjo turned 100 in January 2020.[1] He died on 2 January 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya from pneumonia at the age of 101.[2]
