Chitragupta (Sanskrit: चित्रगुप्त) is a Hindu god whose task is to keep the record of all the human beings on earth. Usually standing on the right side of King Yama holding a book and a pen. It is said that He reports all the good deeds and bad deeds of a person to King Yama for judgement upon death. After which King Yama is to decide placing a person based on his or her karma while living on earth to heaven for reward or to hell for punishment.
