Chor Yuen

Hong Kong film director, screenwriter and actor (1934–2022)

Chor Yuen (Chinese: 楚原), born Cheung Po-kin (張寶堅; 8 October 1934 – 21 February 2022), was a Hong Kong movie director, screenwriter, and actor. Chor was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, Republic of China. His career began in 1954 and he retired in 2004.

He was known for directing Emperor and His Brother (1981), The Duel of the Century (1981), Perils of the Sentimental Swordsman (1982), Mad, Mad 83 (1983) and The Hidden Power of the Dragon Sabre (1984).

In 2014, it was reported that Chor had dementia.[1] He died on 21 February 2022 in Hong Kong from the disease, aged 87.[2]
