The Cisuralian is the first series/epoch of the Permian.
Biodiversity
changeThe Cisuralian was full of many animals such as actinopterygian Amblypterus and prototherapsid Tetraceratops. The swampy fringes were mostly ferns, seed ferns, and lycophytes.
An unusual shark called Helicoprion also made its appearance. This strange fish had a tooth whorl.
