On the Billboard charts, "Clocks" was able to peak at #4 on the Adult Top 40,[1] #9 on the Modern Rock Tracks,[2] #21 on the Mainstream Top 40,[3] and #29 on the Hot 100 charts.[4]

In 2004, "Clocks" won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year.[5] It was also nominated in the category of Best Single at the 2003 Q Awards.[6] Pitchfork Media ranked the song #68 on their Top 100 Singles of 2000-04 list and at #155 on their 500 Greatest Songs of the 2000s.[7][8]
