Commercial sexual exploitation of children
commercial transaction that involves the sexual exploitation of a child
Commercial sexual exploitiation of chidren is when children are forced to do certain sex acts, and someone makes money from this. There are different forms:
- child prostitution (for example: survival sex, street prostitution, or child sex tourism)
- child pornography (also includes live streaming)
- stripping
- phone sex
- forced marriage of children
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), roughly one out of every five girls and one out of every ten boys will be sexually exploited or abused before they become an adult.[1]
