D. H. Lawrence

English novelist, poet, playwright, essayist, literary critic and painter (1885-1930)

David Herbert Lawrence (11 September 1885 – 2 March 1930) was an English writer. He was born in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. He wrote under the pen name D. H. Lawrence. He wrote Sons and Lovers, The Rainbow, ‘ ‘Odour of Chrysanthemums’, ‘ ‘ The Virgin and The Gypsy’ ‘, ‘ Women in Love and Lady Chatterley's Lover. He died of tuberculosis in Vence, France. He also did some poetry and one of his poems was "Last Lesson of the Afternoon."
