Daniel Shays
American soldier, revolutionary, leader of Shays' Rebellion
Daniel Shays was a farmer and veteran of the American Revolutionary War and famously led the Shays' Rebellion in January 1787 with other farmers. The difficulties in ending the rebellion exposed the problems with the Articles of Confederation.
