Darlene Cates
American actress (1947-2017)
Darlene Cates (Rita Darlene Guthrie; December 13, 1947 – March 26, 2017) was an American actress. She played the obese housebound mother in the 1993 movie What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Cates died of a heart attack on March 26, 2017.[1][2]
