Dominion

autonomous polities that were nominally under British sovereignty

Dominion is a way to call nations, that were part of British Empire. They had their own governments.[1] The most famous dominions were for example Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. When the British Empire disappeared after World War II, the word was changed to Commonwealth country.
