"Don't You (Forget About Me)" is a 1985 song by Scottish band Simple Minds and was released as a single for the 1985 movie The Breakfast Club. It went to number 1 in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands and made the top 20 in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. It was originally offered to Bryan Ferry, Corey Hart, Cy Curnin and Billy Idol (who recorded a new version of the song in 2001) before it went to Simple Minds.
